The
St. Louis Blues Society is one of the few St. Louis organizations
actively promoting and preserving St. Louis Blues. The Society’s
Mission Fund raises money for musicians who have fallen
ill, are unable to work and can’t keep up with their
bills. Last year we raised $500 for the Mission fund by
giving away:
1. Blues Society stuff — T-shirts, posters and stickers.
2. A package of CDs donated by St. Louis Musicians. Some
of the artists included in the package are Brian Curran,
the Soulard Blues Band, Tony Campanella, Funkabiily, Hudson
& the Hoodoo Cats, Rich McDonough, the Bottoms Up Blues
Gang, Brian Casserly and many, many more.
3. The grand prize was a blue acoustic guitar signed by
local blues legend Henry Townsend.
